Purpose of Village Court
Village Court:

The court constituted in the Union Parishad for the local settlement of certain disputes or disputes (criminal and civil) in the area under the jurisdiction of the Union is called Gram Adalat.

Purpose: 
Making the local dispute resolution system more transparent and acceptable.
Ensuring the right of rural people, especially women and poor and marginalized groups to access justice. 
De-cluttering of high court cases.
